The Scientific Board decides about the admission of project proposals for computing time on the HLRN systems and about resource assignments. For that submitted proposals are reviewed with respect to scientific (according to the criteria of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) and technical (considering the hardware of the HLRN systems) properties. The Scientific Board is one of the permanent HLRN committees established by the Administrative Board. The members of the Scientific Board are scientists representing the applicational and methodical foci of the HLRN alliance.
